Enjoying a good book with teachers and friends is a great time, but add chili to the night and yum, yum -you have Family Reading & Chili Night at Gates School! Reading stories together, enjoying hot bowls of favorite chili recipes and learning reading strategies is what takes place. There are break out sessions to help parents use reading strategies at home with their student. Raffles, the fall book fair and book prizes are part of Family Reading Night. This year's Family Reading Night was on October 29, 2009.

Which books do I choose? Where are the new Spanish books? The Fall 2009 book fair goal was $2,000 in new books for the library! All proceeds from the book fair are used to purchase new books.
